Dance Instruction
My class offerings include Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballroom/Social Dance, Dabke (Levantine line dance), improvisation, conditioning, and creative movement. I have experience with an array of student populations including beginners of all ages, pre-professionals, professionals, students with disabilities, older adults with limited mobility, and actors/singers looking to refine their physical presence onstage. Currently, I work regularly with NYC public school students as a Teaching Artist with Dancing Classrooms and Dancewave.
Across contexts, I emphasize giving students a well-rounded understanding of the technical foundation, cultural context, and expressive potential of the form. My psychology background—with an understanding of motor learning, lifespan development and trauma sensitivity—informs how I adapt my approach to serve student needs. I have also crafted virtual classes to maximize the feeling of full bodied movement and collective energy within constrained personal spaces.
I offer private, semi-private, and on-demand custom group classes. Whether you are seeking out one-on-one coaching, a shared class for your group of friends, activities for your child’s Pod, a special dance for your wedding, or a movement workshop designed for your company’s employees, I am currently available to teach both remotely and in the NYC area.
